7 Mason, OH Mason, OH Full-time Full-time Up to $55,000 a year Up to $55,000 a year 9 days ago 9 days ago 9 days ago JOB SUMMARY JOB SUMMARY Basco, a premier custom shower enclosure manufacturer, has an opportunity for a Helpdesk Technician, who will provide technical administration and oversight for the computers and network systems related to internal operations for Basco Manufacturing Company.
The selected candidate will be able to balance the system support with the needs of the business.
The successful candidate will be able to work with users in person or remotely, have strong desktop troubleshooting experience, Microsoft Windows account and domain administration, printer support, IP phone system administration and a willingness to embrace the department's core principles.
This position requires an individual able to work 8:
00am - 5:
00pm Monday through Friday with occasional after hours work for upgrades, system maintenance and migrations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Set up, Deploy and maintain corporate computer, peripheral, fixed and mobile telephony equipment.
Monitor and respond to trouble reports, troubleshoots problems and provides feedback regarding service impacting events.
Identify and resolve hardware, software and communication issues Support and administration of infrastructure solutions, such as, active directory, virtual servers, MS Exchange, and perform scheduled maintenance as required.
Maintain and support up-to-date enterprise systems by keeping up-to-date with all relevant patches, updates, security fixes, etc.
Regularly report on technical infrastructure security and capacity planning.
Provide feedback to IT leadership on suggestions for process improvements, upgrade or replacement and lifecycle status on all business systems.
Work with other IT team members to troubleshoot issues and develop solutions.
Coordinate vendor support REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Minimum of 5 years' experience in LAN/WAN environments, Virtualization, Windows Server OS, network security, and enterprise licensing administration.
technical support processing, Familiar and have experience with Cisco routers, switches Active Directory administration of employee accounts, group access and group policies Proficient with hardware and operating system configuration and support, such as, servers, desktops, laptops and mobile devices Strong support of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Exchange and Internet web browser based applications Knowledge of ITIL terminology, LAN/WAN troubleshooting and helpdesk processes Excellent communication skills, specifically with non-technical audiences; both verbally and written Willingness to accept ownership of project related tasks as assigned Experience with IP telephone systems, phone configurations, voicemail and call queue administration Working knowledge of manufacturing processes Ability to communicate difficult/sensitive information to various levels of the organization Manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously Research new technologies and translate the implications to business benefits Maintain solid working relationships with peers, user community and vendors.
