Essential Functions:
o Manages, recruits, and develops a strong group of approximately 10 project engineerso Defines, maintains, improves and manages the project engineering processeso Provides labor and resource planningo Supports bid and proposal activities including cost and schedule estimationo Identifies and manages engineering risks of design and development projectso Supports team in managing development projects via oversight and reviewo Coordinate with the Project Engineering Segment Discipline Lead on policies and procedureso Actively participates in strategic and business aspects of Engineering Departmento Understands strengths & weaknesses of existing project engineering resources and allocate appropriately to balance program and business needso Provides technical mentorship and leadership coaching to project engineers, to assure their success in meeting program objectiveso Aids program managers, project engineers, and the technical organization to ensure progress toward technical objectives within budgetary and schedule guidelineso Provides top-level support for proposal generation, estimates-to-complete, high-level customer interface, organizational development, strategic planning, product and technology roadmapso Plans and ensures sufficient labor resource capacity and capability are available to meet the business forecast (short and long term) for project engineering resourceso Establishes a culture of Project Engineering excellenceo Defines and develops the project engineering process in order to improve performance, quality, manufacturability, cost and reliabilityo Reinforces a strong culture of creative and collaborative problem-solving to overcome constraintso Establishes performance expectations, methods, and tools for project engineeringo Works in collaboration with Systems Engineering to define, establish, and practice effective tools of technical control (e.

Qualifications:
