HR/ Payroll Administrator JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary:
The HR/ Payroll Administrator will oversee the proper onboarding process following company established procedures.
Duties include I-9 compliance, W4, employment application, insurance acceptance/ waiver, scheduling drug tests, driver physicals, DMV/FMCSA research for driver history.
The payroll function will involve entering and verifying time, researching time discrepancies, entering vacation and PTO days.
Once verified the time is submitted to the payroll company for processing.
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience Required:
5 years direct experience in HR support and payroll processing.
Certified Payroll Reports, and Prevailing Wage
Responsibilities:
Record and verify weekly timecard data including vacation and PTO requests Enter time and process payroll for 100
employees Ensure timely payment of employee garnishment payments Ensure company compliance and maintain current knowledge of all local, state, and federal payroll related laws and regulations.
Ensure weekly payment of all state and federal payroll taxes Ensure any wage changes are communicated to payroll processor Produce Davis-Bacon Prevailing wage reports and payroll adjustments as needed Process all new hires, promotion and separations Establish and maintain employee records Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
Assist employees with benefit-related inquiries and provide support during open enrollment periods and life events.
Administer COBRA process Provide support and answer employee inquiries on company policies and office procedures Maintain and secure personnel files Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with and communicate with all levels of the organization.
Excellent time management and organizational skills Experience with third party payroll processing systems.
