The Harris Products Group, a growing industrial products company, is looking for a Buyer for our Seal Seat division to join our team in Mason, Ohio.
As our Buyer, you will be responsible for all procurement for the division that is based in Sante Fe Springs, California. This is a chance to see what a difference your efforts can make on an organization. You will execute sales, inventory and operations planning (SIOP) for both raw materials and buy/resell, working autonomously, and determining strategy for cost savings. You'll also evaluate supplier performance and develop alternative sources of supplies. We need someone who can buy smartly!

Qualified candidates should be team players who are customer-focused with a strong work ethic, and have:
Associate's degree, required, with 3 years' minimum supply chain experience
A comprehensive knowledge of both domestic and international procurement processes and negotiations is essential
Strong Microsoft Office computer skills, especially advanced Excel and PowerPoint; SAP is a must!
Exceptional project management skills - you must be able to manage several projects simultaneously, working independently
Ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal/external customers/suppliers and colleagues
An exceptional self-starter attitude with the ability to establish and meet deadlines
Willingness and flexibility to travel to domestic and international supply sources as needed - estimated to be approximately up to 25% of time
Six Sigma Green Belt, preferred
C.P.M. or APICS Certification (CPIM and/or CSCP), preferred
